Dior Addict

So I was going through my collection stash of lipsticks and found these 2 jewels that I had forgotten to blog about a long long time ago >_<

It only seems right to showcase the beauty of Dior ^_^

A long long time ago in Korean drama land there was a cultural phenomenon known as Boys Over Flowers. Everybody and their mothers and even fathers were watching this train wreck of a drama and I was definitely one of them. In fact, I was a little obsessed with this drama despite the terrible script, awful editing, and abominable acting (Lee Min Ho excluded of course ;D) and of course I couldn't stop watching it >_<

And one day I came upon a post where it was revealed that Han Chae Young who was a spokesperson of Dior at that time was wearing Dior Addict High Shine in 260 Couture Pink with Dior Addict Ultra Gloss in 517 Clutch Pink on her lips in the actual drama. And who was I to resist. After all, if it's good enough for her then I'm all over it. I must admit I have a weakness for celebrity makeup >_< Shown below

She's definitely the Korean barbie doll for a reason. I mean you can't help but be drawn to her lips!

First, the lipstick Dior Addict High Shine in 260 Couture Pink

This is one of the original(?) lipstick-balm hybrids, much like Revlon lip butters. Even the packaging is similar. I would say the application is more on the sheer side where you really have to build it up to get the color if you have pigmented lips, the formula is moisturizing but not as much as the new Dior Addict lipsticks. This particular one contains pinkish-greenish micro glitters that give you a nice sheen and dimension. It's a lovely color although I don't think it's one that I would have normally picked up because it does seem to be a little more cool toned.

Next is the gloss which is the Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Reflect in 517 Clutch Pink

 It has a nice brush for precision application :)

I love this gloss. I really should try more Dior lipglosses cuz this one has impressed me. I don't actually like wearing this by itself because I don't like to wear glosses alone but this looks so good paired with lipsticks or even just over a balm. It has a nice glossy shine and I would say it's a moisturizing formula. It's a nudy-pinkish color which can probably be duped. I want to say it looks similar to Mac's Underage but I don't own it to compare :/ It's not super sticky but does have a little stickiness which I prefer. Confession: I own a backup XD

And the super bad news is this post is like 2 years too late as both of these wonderful products were limited edition and are long gone. Not to mention the formulas have since been discontinued/changed -_-" sighs I imagine the current Dior Addict Lipstick in 260 would be similar but I haven't actually seen it in person so I can't really say. Needless to say, that was actually my first Dior purchase and my collection has been slowly growing since >_<

Just curious do you get tempted by celebrity wearing products? I must admit I totally do. >_<
