So my 3 NYX lip glosses are:
22 Natural, 26 Pinky Natural, 34 Real Nude
Packaging:
As expected with a product called Round Lip Gloss, the glosses have round packaging but can stand on it's own. The wand is bent which makes for easier application. It's a doe foot wand rather than a brush. No gripes either way.
Price: $1.99~$3.00 for 2.5ml/0.085oz
Super cheap like most NYX products
Product:
34 Real Nude, 26 Pinky Natural, 22 Natural
Stickyness:
They're not super sticky like Mac glosses, in fact I would say they are not sticky at all. They do feel slippery though. Personally, I prefer a little stickiness in my gloss.
Lasting Power:
Lasting power is ok, nothing marvelous. If you eat or drink anything, it will disappear and rub off onto cups/napkins. It does feel a little like it's sitting on top of your lips but that might have been because I put lipbalm underneath. However, since I never wear glosses without lipstick and lipbalm, that's what I expect it will feel like all the time.
Pigmentation:
The pigmentation is pretty good, especially with the Pink Natural since it's a more vibrant color than the other 2 nude glosses.
Moisturization:
It does give your lip some shine and it does not dry out my lips although I don't really think it does much to moisturize it either.
Scent:
I believe these are very slightly lightly scented but I couldn't really smell anything when I put them on and I literally was sniffing at the wand before I could smell anything so I want to say it's unscented since I could be smelling my lipbalm which smells lemon-y.
Lip swatches:
22 natural
26 natural pink
34 real nude
Overall: B
Not bad for the price. I wonder why I was so into nude glosses -__-" I realized I don't like brownish hues on my lips. I just don't find it attractive which is unfortunate since 2 of them do have brownish undertones :( I don't think I will rebuy because there's too many other glosses I want to try and I prefer stickier glosses. If you're looking for something cheap with good color and hate sticky glosses I'd recommend you give this a try.
Man, I don't think these are $3 here. More closer to $10 or something stupid like that. I hear a lot about NYX but I have no interest in the brand. I think I'd only be interested in it if they were like NYC-level cheap.
ReplyDeleteO_O omz that is pricey! canada gets jipped in so many ways although i think canadians can still get it cheap online through cherryculture & other sites. still i would say all their products i've tried have really good pigmentation even if you don't take into account the price point. and now i'm curious how cheap NYC is there lol
