So lipgloss is something that I don't really accumulate. Relative to every other makeup product I own >_< but Milani glitzy glamour glosses are something I've been wanting to try for a while because it looked pretty and so I was excited to pick these up during the sale.
Just noting ahead of time these 2 are not the same since one is 3D and the other is not.
Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour Gloss in 45 Leading Lady
Here's the color in tube. Notice the textured cap.
Comes with a brush applicator
swatched on skin
As you can see, there are glitters in it to give the glitzy look but the color itself is pretty muted. On me it's basically a MLBB kind of gloss. I didn't find it overly drying but the glitters were a bit gritty and they are the type that will stay on your lips after the gloss color fades. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied since it's basically what I expected from this gloss.
and next, Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss in 01 First Class
Here's the color in the tube. Notice the smooth cap.
swatched on skin (notice no glitters)
with flash since it was hard to capture the color without flash
As you can tell the 3D glitzy glamour gloss and the regular glitzy glamour gloss are definitely different, starting from the packaging. The 3D glosses have a textured "3D" cap with a brush applicator versus the regular glosses which have a smooth cap with a doe-foot applicator. In addition, the 3D gloss has the glitters in it while the regular just has a metallic sheen. I will say the pigment on the regular glosses is much better but honestly I find this particular gloss color disgusting. It reminds me of something you would find on the lips of some alien on Star Trek. Or probably more like an 80's porn star-esque lipgloss and it just looks so bad that I will never wear this again. xD
Both of these have scents, although not the same scent I don't think. When I first take it out of the tube I get a little overwhelmed by the smell but once I apply it, thankfully it fades. Gah I hate scented products. >_< That being said, the formulation on both of these are pretty good. They're not particularly drying, although I wouldn't say they're moisturizing. They're both a tiny bit sticky but much much better than MAC lipglasses. Well I'm glad I got to try these on clearance because I was horrified with first class.
I will say that I think the 3D glitzy glamour glosses are a great dupe for Mac dazzleglasses at a much more reasonable price point. Those who love glittery glosses will love these. As for the regular glitzy glamour gloss, I will definitely definitely look up swatches before any of those because they're so pigmented and that metallic sheen gives it a look that I don't strive for >_<
